Jeju Island House

The Jeju Island House project is a summerhouse for two families.

Jeju Island, also known as the “Island of the Gods,” is a popular vacation spot for Koreans and foreigners. It remains the top honeymoon destination for Korean newlyweds, and is also regarded as one of the top honeymoon destinations in the world. Despite attempts to market the island as “the Hawaii of Korea,” climatologically and geographically it bears little in similarity to the Hawaiian Islands in the U.S.
The island is well known for natural wonders, including waterfalls, white sand beaches and a dormant volcano — South Korea’s highest mountain — at the center of the island.
This summerhouse has three different levels. First and third level are for families, private spaces. The second level is transitional and communal space in between. Following the use of space, the private space are enclosed and the communal space is widely open to nature. Imagine with the breeze from the pacific ocean with sunset me and my friend’s family. This is perfect summerhouse in Korea.
